Haiti: Haiti's horror orphanages

There are mounting concerns in Haiti's earthquake-hit capital about the welfare of thousands of orphans suffering amid the devastation.

Al Jazeera has learned of at least one orphanage in the capital, Port-au-Prince, which international observers say is being run in shocking conditions.

The plight of orphaned children in Haiti has led to calls for international adoption processes to be sped up.

The 7.0-magnitude quake on January 12 killed 300,000 people, made more than one million homeless and left many children vulnerable in Haiti.
