Jordan: Jordan denies Israel requested relocation of nuclear plant

KUNA reports Jordan has denied receiving an Israeli request to relocate the nuclear plant project that is to be executed in Aqaba, southern Jordan.

Jordan is satisfied with the location, and the choice was based on thorough studies, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communication Nabil Al-Sharif said in a statement to Ad-Dustour newspaper issued today.

Israeli gazette Yediot Ahronot said, Thursday, that Israel sent an official request to Jordan to change the plant's location, as the site chosen lies near the Great Rift Valley, an area where earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur frequently.
