Terrorism: China reaches "common understanding" to curb "East Turkistan" forces

Xinhua - China has reached a "common understanding" with countries in Mid, West and South Asia to curb "East Turkistan" forces, anti-terrorist departments said Sunday.

The joint work aims to guarantee the safety of the 60th National Day celebrations and effectively counteract "East Turkistan" forces headed by the "East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM)," they said.

The law enforcement departments of the countries involved will step up intelligence exchanges, share information, tighten border controls and boost protection measures around "Chinese targets abroad."
