Greece: Two explosions rock Greece

FOCUS Information Agency - Two explosions occurred in Greece on Wednesday in Thessaloniki and Athens as one person has been injured in the second blast. The first one occurred at 5.30 am, and the second-at 5.35 am. According to the police there is a connection between the two explosions.

A car exploded near the Athens Stock Exchange and broke out a fire. The area of the explosion in Athens as well as traffic along Atinon Bld was sealed off and team of anti terrorist service presence is stepped up in the area.

The Athens Stock Exchange building and nearby buildings have been damaged and three cars have burned to ashes by the fire.

The explosion in Thessaloniki burst near the ministries of Macedonia and Trakya districts. The signal for the explosion was sent to the Alter television and Athens police by an anonymous resource. The explosion did not cause serious material damages.

No one has taken the responsibility for the blasts. However, Greek police consider terrorist organization “Revolutionary fight” responsible for the blast in Athens and “Conspiracy of Fiery Cores-Fraction of Nihilists” for the blast in Thessaloniki.
