Lebanon: Saad Hariri set to be named PM

Lebanese Sunni majority leader Saad Hariri is expected to be designated next Prime Minister on Saturday afternoon, when parliamentary consultations carried out by President Michel Suleiman end later today, local Elnashra website reported Saturday.

President Suleiman started on Friday binding parliamentary consultations with members of the parliament blocks to nominate the Prime Minister who would form the next Lebanese cabinet.

Hariri, got on Friday 67 votes out of 128, and the number is expected to increase to become 83 or 86 votes in his favor when the consultations are over Saturday, according to the report.
