Israel: Rabbis criticized for calling on soldiers and police to stop dismantling expanded communities in Judea and Samaria

Arutz Sheva reports Political figures criticized rabbis from Judea and Samaria for their call to soldiers and police to refrain from dismantling expanded communities in Judea and Samaria. MK Ofir Pines-Paz (Labor) stated Wednesday that the rabbinical statement is “a call to refuse an order that challenges Israeli democracy. This is a dangerous incitement destined to uproot the IDF.” Pines-Paz called the Yesha heads to abstain from the statements. He called Attorney General Mani Mazuz to open an investigation against the rabbis for incitement.

The leftwing Peace Now organization also attacked the rabbis. Yariv Oppenheimer, Peace Now’s secretary general stated, “The Attorney General must open an investigation against the Yesha rabbis.
