Brazil: Illegal lumber used to rebulid homes of flood victims

Australia's ABC News reports officials in Brazil have found an unusual way to help hundreds of thousands of people affected by severe flooding in the north of the country.

The government has come up with a novel solution; it is going to make available lumber seized from illegal loggers in the Amazon rainforest for people in the flooded areas to rebuild their homes.

Some homes will also be put on stilts to protect them from future floods.
