Bilateral Relations: Iran, Yemen can boost regional security

IRNA reports Deputy Foreign Minister of Yemen Ali Muthana Hassan Said on Sunday that Tehran-Sanaa cooperation would serve regional security and stability as well as promotion of bilateral relations.

Hassan arrived in Tehran on Sunday at the head of a delegation to attend the 4th meeting of Iran-Yemen Joint Political Commission which was co-chaired by his Iranian counterpart Hossein Sheikholeslam.

Speaking to reporters at the end of the first round of bilateral talks, he said officials of the two countries discussed issues of mutual interest including bolstering Iran-Sanaa relations, removing obstacles in the way of promotion of bilateral cooperation and major regional and international developments.

Since both Iran and Yemen are members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the two states can have effective cooperation at regional and international organizations to resolve regional problems, the issue of Palestine in particular.
