Peru: Rescuers still searching for 30 trapped miners

Radio Netherlands reports rescue workers in Peru have been working flat out since Monday to rescue at least 30 mineworkers still trapped under mud, rocks and rubble in the mountainous southern region of Puno, where heavy rains have caused landslides.

So far, they have discovered 13 bodies. The missing mineworkers were looking for gold in unsafe mines.

Heavy rain and high altitude is hamepring rescue efforts.
