Bilateral Relations: Argentine protests Berlusconi's "beautiful days" comment

The Argentine Foreign Ministry summoned the Italian ambassador to Argentina on Wednesday to express its displeasure over recent remarks by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The controversial, Teflon coated Italian Prime Minister, is reported to have said opponents thrown into the ocean from the air during the era of Argentina's military regime "were beautiful days, they made them descend from the planes."

Alberto D'Alotto, chief of office from the Argentine Foreign Ministry, requested ambassador Stefano Ronca to explain the comment.
