Gas: “Poseidon” to replace Nabucco

A smaller-scale project called “Poseidon” will replace Nabucco, the Standart Daily informs. In the environment of the international financial crisis the Nabucco project is much more expensive.

Although smaller “Poseidon” is just as important for Azerbaijan and Turkey experts explain.

“Poseidon” will have the task to deliver natural gas to Italy from the Azerbaijani Shakh Deniz field. The start of the construction is set for the beginning of 2009.
