Turkey and Iran might soon finalize an agreement on the development of three phases of Iran`s South Pars gas field despite U.S. opposition, said Ali Vakili, the managing director of Iran`s Pars Oil and Gas Company.
"Negotiations with the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and an Iranian group on the development of phases 22 to 24 of South Pars gas field have shown progress," Vakili said.
Talks would be finalized soon, added the Iranian official.
