Burma: State media urges people to take care of their health in wake of Nargis - but fails to explain how.

Myanmar's state media has urged people to take precautions against disease in regions hit by Tropical Cyclone Nargis.

State radio urged people to safeguard their health and 'to drink boiled water and keep pests out of food.'

'Eat fresh fruits, use clean toilets, and systematically throw out the garbage,' the radio report said, also urging the public to 'be aware of mosquitos and the danger of snakes.' They also urged people to immediately go to a clinic to treat health problems.

They did not explain how people who did not have the facilities to take such care before Nargis, can be expected to do so now. However, all members of the ruling junta are reported to be fit and healthy.
