Bilateral Relations: Colombia/Ecuador - crisis, what crisis?

Colombian President Alvaro Uribe yesterday denied any crisis between Colombia and Ecuador, saying the two countries: "are brothers in history, at present and in the future."

"We here in the Colombian government do not have any problem with the Ecuadorian government, we only have fondness," Uribe said in a statement to Ecuador's Sonorama radio network.

He also reiterated his commitment to defeating "terrorist organizations that have deeply damaged Colombia."
