Zimbabwe: US and EU not welcome at Mugabe's sham election

Zimbabwe has barred EU member states and the U.S from a list of observers invited to monitor the March 29 general elections in Zimbabwe.

Representatives of regional bodies such as the African Union would be asked to oversee the joint presidential and parliamentary elections on March 29, as well as China, Iran and Venezuela.

The only European country invited to send monitors is Russia. The Commonwealth is also off Mugabe's invite to the sham election.
