Media: NATO set to launch TV channel

NATO has announced the launching of its own television channel. The new channel will be unveiled at next week's summit in Bucharest.

The channel will be publicly accessible and media organizations will be offered a different version tailored to broadcast requirements, NATO spokesman James Appathurai told reporters.

He said the channel may not initially be able to feature new stories on daily basis.

"We will populate the NATO TV channel with updates as frequently as we can," he said.
