Kosovo: Bulgaria expresses concern as 100 UNMIK officers injured in northern Kosovo

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has expressed its concern over the developments in northern Kosovo and urged the local Serb leaders to use their influence and avoid further growing of tension.

The Foreign Ministry said that the methods and means including explosives, firearms and instigation to extremist actions used by the participants in the unrest can in no way benefit the Serb population in Kosovo.

More than 100 UN mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) police officers and NATO-led peacekeeping forces were injured in Monday's clashes with ethnic Serbs in northern Kosovo town of Mitrovica.
