Estonia and Latvia have thrown their support behind Croatia, Albania and Macedonia's bid for NATO membership, according to reports from the Estonian capital Tallinn.
At a joint press conference following a meeting between Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and his Latvian counterpart Ivars Godmanis in Tallinn, Ansip said NATO should formally invite Croatia, Albania and Macedonia to join the bloc at the upcoming NATO summit scheduled for April 2-4 in Bucharest.
He added that NATO should outline the action plan for Georgia and Ukraine to pursue membership.
Godmanis supported Estonia's position on the issue.
