Corruption: Filipinos rally against corruption

Xinhua reports that tens of thousands of Filipinos yetserday gathered at the financial center of Metro Manila to denounce corruption and demand the administration to be accountable for its frauds.

The opposition who organized the big gathering expected close to 40,000 people would join them, including opposition politicians, left-wing activists, clergymen, students, businessmen and office workers. However, police estimated the figure was at most 15,000.

More than 5,000 policemen were sent out to secure the scene.
