Gas: Iran set to supply gas to UAE by next September

The Iranian Offshore Oil Co (IIOC) has announced it will commence supplying gas the United Arab Emirates by the end of September next year.

The state news agency reported, "Following the installation of Salman field’s platform, the Crescent deal will take effect in the first half of next (Iranian) year,”

The UAE’s Dana Gas and one of its shareholders, Crescent Petroleum, set up a venture to import gas from Iran starting from mid-2006.
The deal was delayed after some Iranian politicians said the export price should be higher.
