Russia has launched early Sunday a military satellite from the central Asian space center in Kazakhstan, news agencies reported.
The Proton-M booster blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome at 3:16 a.m. Moscow time (0016 GMT), Interfax cited Col. Alexei Zolotukhin, spokesman for the Russian Space Forces, as saying.
It is a third military satellite to have been launched since the beginning of the year.
