People who know me often tease me about my taste in music - actually they tease me about a lot of other things as well, but we will narrow it down to one for tonight!
It is generally believed there is very little in my music collection that is post Dec 31 1979. To a point, they are right. But last night I was taking a break and flicking the TV remote, when I came a cross a concert. I had the sound turned down but as I soon as I saw the band - I knew I wouldn't like them. When it comes to music I can be the equivalent of one of those people who say, "I have never eaten foreign food because I don't like it".
I kept flicking but being Australia, there was bugger all on any channel so I went back to the concert, this time turning up the sound.
Boy they were good! The Cat Empire.
I had never heard of them before and still know nothing about them - not even the name of the songs! When I get the chance it looks like I have a bit of searching to do!
