Conservation: Zimbabwe embarks on annual elephant cull

News Net, reports Zimbabwe has embarked on an annual project that will see the harvesting of a reasonable number of elephants every year in order to sustain the population in the country.

Environment and Tourism Minister Cde Francis Nhema said the programme will see communities living with elephants harvest up to about ten animals per annum and the proceeds will be used to build schools, clinics and other infrastructure for the locals.
