Women's Issues: Women's rights conference to be held in Tehran

The 1st "Women Rights and Responsibilities in the Islamic system" conference is to be held on July 15 and 16 by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in Tehran.

The Iranian Quran News Agency, reports the conference is aimed at, "scholarly presentation of Islamic viewpoints on women's rights and responsibilities, the conference seeks to arrange a campaign against the World Arrogance's conspiracies against dignity of women in human societies."

The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, the Women's Cultural and Social Council and the Center for Women and Family Affairs are among the organizers of the event. A large number of intellectuals, thinkers and scientific and cultural figures from 25 countries will attend the conference.
