Conflict: Australia reopens embassy in Lebanon

The Australian embassy in Lebanon has reopened. The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Teresa Gambaro, says it was necessary to temporarily close the Australian embassy because of the violence.

"All Australians are being advised to stay where they are, monitor the media and follow the instruction of local authorities," she said.

Rather curiously she added, "It doesn't matter which Australians are over there, we're giving the same advice to all Australians but we've done everything that we can at the moment to get that message across."

I had no idea there were different kinds of Australians!
