Women's Issues: Thai feminist activist to form all female party

Rabiabrat Phongpanich, a senator and female activist, has said she plans to form Thailand's first all-women political party ahead of upcoming elections.
She added it was time for women to have a stronger presence in the male-dominated world of Thai politics.

Women have yet to make up more than 10 percent of the 500-seat lower house of Parliament or the 200-seat upper house.

AP reports that Rabiabrat is known for speaking out against contemporary fashions favoured by scantily clad women and Thai magazines that carry advertisements of near nude female models.
