Qatar is studying proposals for a new sponsorship law designed to uphold both the rights of foreign workers and of their local sponsors. Secretary General of Qatar's National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri, told reporters he expected the law would be passed.
