Agriculture: Saudi farmers look to Sudan

Arab media reports that Sudan is attracting the interest of farmers from Saudi Arabia. Investors willing to invest up to $100 million in a joint stock company, will shortly visit Sudan to investigate the country's farming potential. The deal is dependant on the group owning the land - not leasing it.

A spokesman for the group blamed Saudi authorities for not fully informing them of the implications of joining the WTO.
