Culture: Iran returns historical sword to Kuwait

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting news, reports that Iran's Foreign Ministry has returned a historical sword, seized by Iranian security forces, to the Kuwaiti ambassador to Tehran.

Iranian security forces have seized many artefacts which had been "smuggled by Saddam Hussein regime during Kuwait occupation in 1991 and later on".

The Kuwaiti ambassador to Tehran Majid Zafiri, told Kuwait News Agency, "Iran-Kuwait ties are very deep and are based on coordination and cooperation among both countries' senior officials".

Last August, Iran returned 399 pieces of historical which belonged to Kuwait.
