Small Business: Dealing with lost records in the wake of Katrina

Joyce M. Rosneberg, (Associated Press,) has an excellent article in the Houston Chronicle, advising small business owners on how to cope with the problem of reconstructing lost or ruined business records.

This is important for two reasons:

* "In the short term, they will need the data if they're applying for Small Business Administration disaster loans."

* "In the long term, those records will be needed for tax returns and for any future financing."

If anyone is affected in this way, or has friends or loved ones who may be in this situation, the article gives detailed, easy to understand advice.
