Defence: Thales and Boeing in joint bid for UK defence contract

French defence group Thales and US aircraft manufacturer Boeing, have signed a joint bid with Britain's Ministry of Defence worth approximately $17.9 bn to provide aircrew training for personnel of the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and the Army. The contract is for 25 years.

KBR which is of course a subsidiary of Halliburton, are also alleged to be in the running.
